Healx Limited ("We") are committed to protecting and respecting your privacy.
This policy sets out the basis on which any personal information we collect from you is processed by us.
RareOmics is a free online tool that displays news feeds of the latest papers published about particular rare diseases. You can choose to sign up to 'follow' particular rare diseases and receive optional email alerts to new papers. To do this we collect a minimal amount of personal information to operate the service, we don't sell or share your information with third parties.
If you create an account in order to receive email alerts we require that you provide your name, email address and an (optional) sector in which you work. This information is stored securely in a cloud-based database held with the EU.
We log the IP address of your browser to identify operational problems, this information is never used to identify individuals or organizations.
We use a third party service, Google Analytics, to collect standard internet log information and details of visitor behaviour patterns. This information is only processed in a way which does not identify anyone. We do not, and do not allow Google to, associate names and email addresses with information logged at Google Analytics.
We use your name and email address to send you email alerts to new papers published on rare diseases you follow. You can configure on which days of the week you would like to receive an email alert, and you will only receive an email if there are new papers matching your criteria. You can unsubscribe from email alerts at any time.
We may contact you periodically about any changes or improvements to the RareOmics service we believe are relevant to our users.
We may contact you periodically with news about Healx and information of our other services. We will do this infrequently and with an additional opt-in so you can continue to use RareOmics without receiving any marketing information from Healx.
We do not sell or share your personal information with any third parties.
In the event the Healx business is acquired by another organisation the RareOmics user database will be one of the assets transferred to the acquiring organisation.
You have the right to access, amend or request that we delete the personal information that we hold on. Email your request to email@example.com.
If you have any questions please contact firstname.lastname@example.org.
